Abstract:
Theoretical and experimental investigations were made of the orientational dependence of energy exchange in the case of a two-wave interaction in a cubic photorefractive crystal of Bi12 SiO20. It was found that in the case of noncentrosymmetric crystals the theory agrees well with the experimental results if an allowance is made for the contributions of the piezoelectric and photoelastic effects to self-diffraction.
