Energy characteristics of a ring model of a chemical supersonic DF–CO2 laser with an unstable telescopic resonator

N. A. Konoplev, A. A. Stepanov, V. A. Shcheglov
Abstract: A method is proposed for calculating, in the geometric-optics approximation, the energy characteristics of a ring variant of a chemical supersonic DF–CO2 laser with an unstable telescopic resonator formed by mirrors of toroidal shape. Typical distributions of the gain in the active medium are obtained in the absence and presence of lasing, and the intensity of the radiation in the lasing zone is calculated. The chemical efficiency is found as a function of the parameters of the optical system.
