Fiber-optic interferometer based on a multimode waveguide excited by an injection heterolaser

M. V. Zverkov, L. A. Rivlin, N. V. Shelkov
Abstract: An experimental investigation was made of a fiber-optic Mach–Zehnder interferometer with multimode waveguide arms excited by radiation from an injection heterolaser (λ =0.9 μ). The results confirmed that such components could be used to construct a microinterferometnc sensor with the difference between the arm lengths not exceeding several meters.
