Influence of a difference between the g factors of levels on the emission characteristics of a two-mode gas laser with an anisotropic resonator in a weak axial magnetic field

A. Ch. Izmailov
Abstract: A theoretical analysis is made of the influence of a difference between the g factors of the levels of a lasing transition on the emission characteristics of a two-mode gas laser with an anisotropic resonator in a weak axial magnetic field when the Zeeman splitting is considerably smaller than the Doppler line width. The conditions for which the g factors of the levels can be assumed to be equal in the calculations are determined.
