Coherent-optical control of the quality and shape of reflecting objects

V. G. Volostnikov, V. A. Katulin, V. V. Kotlyar, A. N. Malov
Abstract: A description is given of a relatively simple method for determining imperfections of the shape and microdefects on the reflecting surfaces of solids of revolution (balls and rollers). It is shown that the method is characterized by an interference sensitivity to surface geometry defects and by a relatively high immunity to errors.
