Abstract:
The relationship between the physical damage mechanisms in the case of single and multiple interaction is discussed. The results are reported of an experimental investigation of the process of bulk damage to optical materials as a result of repeated interaction with pulsed laser radiation (λ = 1.06 μ, τ ≈ 15 nsec).
