Abstract: An experimental investigation was made of the conversion of the second harmonic of the radiation of a dye laser of wavelengths 545–760 nm into ultraviolet radiation of wavelengths 217–280 nm by the method of sumfrequency generation. The use of a KDP crystal with phase matching by angular adjustment ensured that the conversion efficiency was 35%.
