Calculation of the maximum output power of a continuousflow CO2 laser

V. A. Kuklin, Yu. E. Pol'skii
Abstract: It is shown that the relaxation losses in the resonator zone and the influence of the radiation field on a redistribution of the populations of the upper and lower active levels must be allowed for in the calculation of the maximum output power of a continuous-flow CO2 laser. A system of equations is obtained for the description of the relaxation kinetics under the conditions of maximum output power.
