Investigation of tuning characteristics of pulsed PbSe/PbSnSeTe double-heterostructure lasers

O. I. Davarashvili, N. V. Lemekhov, A. I. Nadezhdinskii
Abstract: An experimental investigation was made of the tuning characteristics of PbSe/PbSnSeTe double-heterostructure lasers. The process of heating was compared with a model based on the solution of a one-dimensional heat conduction equation. It was established that this model provided a satisfactory description of the observed tuning characteristics if an allowance was made for the thermal resistance at the interface between a laser and a copper heat sink.
