Coulomb collision effects in a Raman ionic laser
S. A. Babin, L. A. Gel'medova, D. A. Shapiro
Abstract:
The stimulated emission spectra of an anti-Stokes Raman ionic laser were calculated. It was found that ion–ion collisions broadened the frequency-tuning range and increased considerably the output power. Agreement with the spectra recorded near the 437 and 648 nm lines confirmed that collisions played an important role.
