Numerical modeling of the space–time structure of a high-power laser beam

A. A. Andreev, P. I. Krepostnov, A. N. Sutyagin, A. N. Shatsev
Abstract: A theoretical model is proposed for calculating the temporal and spatial characteristics of a laser pulse in a solid-state laser amplification system designed for laser fusion. The numerically calculated specific parameters of the amplification system are reported and the feasibility of improving the uniformity of the target irradiation is investigated.
