Electron distribution function in a laser plasma

M. Kalal, I. Štoll
Full-text PDF (586 kB) Citations (2)
Abstract: An accurate analytic solution of the Vlasov equation in the one-dimensional case is given for plasma electrons in the potential electric field of a monochromatic high-frequency wave of arbitrary amplitude and spatial modulation allowing for a self-consistent field. The phase velocity of the plasma waves is assumed to be appreciably higher than the electron thermal velocity (the case of nonresonant diffusion).
