Kinetics of a high-pressure electron-beam-excited laser emitting the "yellow" neon line

Abstract:
Rate constants of various collisional processes were determined and a simple kinetic model was proposed for a laser utilizing a transition in the neon atom (λ = 585 nm) in a high-pressure He–Ne–Ar(H2) mixture excited by an electron beam. Good agreement was obtained between the calculated and experimentally determined laser parameters.
