Abstract:
The Progress facility was used to irradiate glass gas-filled targets with energy flux densities of (0.4–2) X 1015 W/cm2 using phase plates to improve the homogeneity of irradiation. An increase in the volume compression of DT gas by a factor of 4–5 was recorded together with a reduction in the fraction of fast particles generated by the plasma.
