Negative-feedback laser emitting ultrashort pulses with controlled parameters

Abstract:
The negative feedback regime in passively mode-locked solid-state lasers was investigated theoretically and experimentally. It was shown that the profile, energy, and duration of the trains of ultrashort pulses and the pulse energy may be controlled. A YAG:Nd laser with a controlled ultrashort pulse energy and a controlled train energy and duration was developed.
