Luminescence of products of a singlet-oxygen generator in the visible and near infrared

N. P. Vagin, M. P. Frolov, N. N. Yuryshev
Abstract: Intense luminescence was excited as a result of the interaction between a heated metal surface and a singlet oxygen stream containing a small amount of chlorine. The luminescence spectrum consisted of two regions located at 650–920 and 1070–1305 nm. A band structure with a typical interval of around 360 cm–1 was observed in each region. Dependences of the luminescence intensity on the chlorine and singlet oxygen pressures were determined.
