Abstract:
Generation of cw single-mode output radiation power of 302 W and stable pulse-periodic emission of single-mode radiation with a peak power of 230 kW (an average power of 78 W, a pulse duration of 75 ns, a repetition frequency of 4.5 kHz, and a divergence of 2 mrad) were achieved. The coherence length was determined using a Michelson interferometer: it amounted to 10 cm, which agreed with the width of the emission spectrum amounting to 10 pm. An increase in the transmission of an LiF:F2– crystal reduced the peak output power to 130 kW and increased the average power (130 W), the pulse duration, and the repetition frequency. This demonstrated the feasibility of varying within wide ranges the time and energy parameters of the single-mode output radiation of this laser system.
