Dynamics of accumulation of inversion in optical quantum amplifiers subjected to pulsed pumping and main principles of construction of high-energy systems
A. V. Shelobolin
Abstract:
A phenomenological model is used in an analysis of the process of accumulation of a population inversion in pulsed optical quantum amplifiers. A comparison is made with the experimental data for neodymium glass amplifiers. The principles of construction of high-energy amplifier systems are considered together with the limitations imposed by a system on the energy utilization efficiency. It is shown that systems of this kind can be optimized on the basis of the net efficiency.
