Abstract:
The advantages and limitations of using highly bright laser diodes for pumping low- and moderate-power solid-state Nd3+:YAG lasers are considered. The practice of designing cw and pulsed, acousto-optically Q-switched solid-state lasers is analysed and their possible applications are discussed. The efficiency of a cw laser achieved 50%.
