Nonlinear optical effects

Polarization multistability and chaos accompanying self-intersection of an optical beam

Abstract: A simple system is proposed for a demonstration of polarization multistability and chaos based on self-intersection of an optical beam in an isotropic medium with a cubic nonlinearity of the scalar type.
