Abstract: Experimental and theoretical investigations were made of turbulent diffusion in an industrial CO2 laser with crossed electrodes. The particle diffusion reduced considerably the spatial inhomogeneity of the gain. The results obtained were used to propose a new method for the determination of the turbulent diffusion coefficient.
