Abstract:
An investigation was made of the emission characteristics of laser deuteron sources as a function of the material of a plasma-forming target and of the stoichiometry of this material. The experimental results indicated that deuteron emission from a laser plasma formed on the surfaces of deuterides of the investigated class had a tendency to increase with the atomic mass of the metal carrier.
