Physical processes in laser media

Model analysis of motion of the lasing zone in bleaching-wave dye lasers

O. A. Logunov, D. A. Nikolaenko, A. V. Startsev, Yu. Yu. Stoilov
Abstract: Numerical modeling of the emission of radiation from bleaching-wave dye lasers subjected to monochromatic pumping was used to estimate the efficiency, the velocity of the lasing wave, and the specific output energy. The transition of the bleaching-wave dye laser to cw operation and the feasibility of the emission of a train of short pulses at high efficiencies were analyzed.
