Abstract:
A method for detection of weak reflected laser radiation using the deviation of the beat frequency of a two-mode laser is proposed and implemented experimentally. The lowest detectable effective amplitude reflection coefficient of an external mirror was 8 X 10–8. The method was tested by recording radiation from remote diffuse reflectors.
