Abstract:
The CARS technique was used to obtain the vibrational distribution functions of the populations of nitrogen molecules excited in a capillary glow discharge and flowing from an aperture into vacuum. The efficiency of transfer of the vibrational energy to CO molecules mixed with the stream was studied.
