Abstract: A numerical modeling is reported of steady-state self-focusing of an annular beam with thin "walls." An approximate similar solution is found to describe well the relationships observed in the numerical experiment for a special selection of the input parameters of the beam. This solution is used to estimate the focal length. Such self-similar self-focusing is shown to aifect the whole power of the beam.
