Abstract:
A pulsed solid-state laser with a GSSG:Cr3+:Nd3+ active element, pumped by laser diode arrays, was constructed. The energy characteristics of the arrays were determined for the case when they were pumped by current pulses up to 100 μs duration. When this duration was ~ 80 μs, the energy of the radiation emitted by an array of 180 laser diodes reached 2 mJ. When the solid-state laser was pumped by an array emitting at 805 nm, its output energy was 0.1 mJ.
