Abstract: Electron beam excitation was used to achieve lasing simultaneously due to the 3d–4p transitions in Ar (λ = 1.79 μm) with a total efficiency of ~ 2 % and due to the 2+ system in N2 (λ = 358 nm) with an instantaneous excitation efficiency of up to 4%.
