Nature of the ablation of the cornea and skin by infrared laser radiation

Full-text PDF (856 kB) Citations (3)
Abstract: A model of infrared ablation of quasihomogeneous soft tissues is proposed. It allows for explosive boiling of overheated water and subsequent thermal damage of the organic framework under conditions of an interference stability and also because of fundamental absorption. The model provides a satisfactory description of infrared ablation of the cornea and skin.
