Abstract: Experimental and theoretical investigations were made of lasing due to atomic transitions in xenon (λ = 2.03, 1.73, 2.65, 2.63, and 3.43 μm) during the afterglow stage of pumping of an Ar–Xe mixture by electron beam pulses of ~ 5 ns duration.
