Control of laser radiation parameters
Influence of resonance radiation trapping on the frequency characteristic of a Zeeman ring gas laser with arbitrary wave polarization
B. A. Bachurin
Abstract:
Trapping of resonance radiation is taken into account to determine the amplitude and frequency characteristics of a Zeeman ring gas laser with arbitrary wave polarizations when a longitudinal magnetic field is applied to the active medium. The influence of resonance radiation trapping on the frequency characteristic of a ring gas laser is analyzed as a function of the parameters of the polarization vectors of the counterpropagating waves. It is shown that the relative contribution of resonance radiation trapping to nonreciprocal polarization effects decreases on increase in the differences between the profiles of the polarization vectors.
