Atmospheric-pressure pulsed electron-beam-controlled CO2 ring laser with an intracavity angular selector

Abstract:
An atmospheric-pressure pulsed electron-beam-controlled CO2 laser with a telescopic ring resonator and an intracavity angular radiation selector was investigated. This delivered output radiation with good angular characteristics and fairly long ( ~ 30 μs) lasing pulse durations when the thermal self-interaction of radiation in the active medium became appreciable.
