Abstract: We conducted an experimental investigation of chemical CO lasers that oscillate in the spectral region corresponding to an overtone of the CO molecule. We observed and identified four vibrational-rotational transitions in the 2.6–2.7-μm spectral band. We obtained laser radiation power levels of 4–10 W at flow rates of the CS2–N2O–O2 gas mixture in the range 10–14 g/s.
