Dynamics of self-initiation of lasing in a semilinear phase-conjugating mirror with a large number of transverse modes
N. I. Bel'dyugina, A. V. Mamaev, V. V. Shkunov
Abstract:
It is shown theoretically and experimentally that the appearance of lasing in a semilinear phase-conjugating mirror is preceded by a "silent zone" due to the formation of a mode with the conjugate wavefront in a multimode resonator.
