Nonlinear optical effects

Method of determining nonlinear optical susceptibilities of materials

Full-text PDF (642 kB) Citations (1)
Abstract: A method of determining nonlinear susceptibilities of optically nonlinear media is proposed. This is based on a dependence of the period of the spatial beats of the amplitude of a harmonic on the fundamental-frequency radiation intensity at high conversion efficiencies. An accurate description of this method can be obtained using the constant-intensity approximation.
