Double phase-conjugating mirror: experimental investigation and comparison with the theory

Abstract: A double phase-conjugating mirror in a photorefractive barium strontium niobate crystal was studied experimentally. Apart from a shift of the transverse distribution of the scattered beams relative to the pump beams, the ratio of the scattered beam powers depended sublinearly on the ratio of the pump beam powers. The experimental results were interpreted using a two-dimensional model.
