Optical model of a two dimensional active medium

A. N. Rakhmanov, M. A. Vorontsov, A. P. Popova, V. I. Shmalgauzen
Abstract: An experimental investigation was made of an optical scheme based on metal–insulator–semiconductor liquid-crystal (MIS-LC) cells used as a model of a two-component self-oscillatory (autowave) medium. A theoretical model is proposed describing the processes occurring in this optical scheme.
