Microwave modulation of light based on the electrooptical effect in a zinc selenide crystal

Abstract: The results are reported of a study of a microwave modulator utilizing the electrooptical effect in a zinc selenide crystal. It was established that the efficiency of this modulator at 2600 MHz was three times that of a modulator utilizing the electrooptical effect in a KDP crystal.
