Focusing properties of converging-beam holograms
N. G. Vlasov, Yu. S. Mosyakin, G. V. Skrotskii
Abstract:
An analysis is given of the focusing properties of converging-beam holograms recorded by single and multiple exposure. A classification of such holograms is proposed. A calculation is given of the dependence of the position of the image and of its dimensions on the position of the object in the object plane. The aberrations in the image are also calculated. Some experimental results are given. Attention is drawn to the importance of the development of diffraction optics, whose potential applications are in many situations considerably wider than those of classical optics.
