Full-text PDF (788 kB) Citations (4)
Abstract: A model is proposed for the calculation of the parameters of targets which efficiently convert absorbed laser energy into thermal self-radiation of a plasma, as a function of the energy, power density, and wavelength of the laser radiation. The conversion efficiency predicted for these targets is ~90% at power densities of 1012–1015 W/cm2.
