Abstract:
A laboratory-grown KTP crystal was used to generate near-infrared radiation, with a stable output energy of 1 mJ, by difference frequency mixing of nanosecond Nd : YAG and its second-harmonic-pumped dye laser radiations. A quantum conversion efficiency as high as 36% was achieved.
