Excitation of a direct current through a photoconducting crystal in an asymmetric alternating field

A. V. Dugin, B. Ya. Zel'dovich, Yu. V. Miklyaev

Chelyabinsk State Technical University
Abstract: The mechanism for the generation of a direct current through a crystal illuminated in a static interference pattern in an alternating external electric field with an asymmetric temporal profile is examined theoretically. The oscillation period of the external field is assumed short in comparison with the time scale of the response of the crystal to the illumination.
