Hyperluminescence in zinc sulfide and diamond crystals

Abstract:
Spectral characteristics of the hyperluminescence in zinc sulfide and diamond crystals have been studied. The hyperluminescence intensity in the zinc sulfide crystals is comparable to the intensity of two-photon-excited luminescence in organic luminophors. The spectra of hyperluminescence and of single-photon-excited luminescence are compared.
