Investigation of the influence of local axial magnetic fields on the frequency of a beat signal in a ring laser with almost linear polarization of the radiation

A. I. Bakalyar, I. F. Usol'tsev
Abstract: The results are given of an experimental investigation of the influence of local axial magnetic fields, applied to the active medium, on the frequency characteristics of a beat signal of waves traveling in opposite directions in a ring laser. It is shown that this influence is governed primarily by the polarization characteristics of the radiation.
