Compact discharge XeCl laser with an output energy ~ 1 J and a pulse length of 100–300 ns

Abstract:
The LIDA-D compact discharge XeCl laser is described. The length of output pulse is shown to be determined by the capacitance of the intermediate energy storage bank. Pulses 100–300 ns long have been produced at an output energy above 1 J.
