Abstract:
Tomographic reconstruction is used to process the signals from a distributed optical-fiber measurement network. The network consists of series-connected optical-fiber interference sensors. The requirements which this network must meet are discussed. It is shown experimentally that it is possible to reconstruct the intensity distribution of the surface vibrations of a circular plate with forced central vibrations at frequencies of 300 and 1000 Hz. It is possible to develop networks of this type for real-time multidimensional signal processing using optical processors in systems for processing the output data from the network.
