Laser with periodic Q switching for high-speed cinematography

M. P. Vanyukov, S. V. Evdokimov, E. V. Nilov, A. A. Chertkov
Abstract: A description is given of a laser emitting discrete trains of light pulses of λ = 530 nm with a pulse repetition frequency of 15 kHz in each train. The laser consists of a master oscillator and a frequency converter. The construction of a Q switch for the neodymiumglass master oscillator is described. The basic arrangement of the frequency converter is given. The results of tests on the master oscillator are reported.
