Dynamics of the heating of a fully ionized plasma by focused laser radiation

Abstract: The dynamics of the heating of a plasma by short-duration laser pulses is considered in the spherical case on the assumption that the laser radiation frequency exceeds the plasma frequency. The range of validity of the theoretical model employed corresponds to ultrashort pulses of less than 10–10 sec duration.
