Two-coordinate deflection of light by an ultrasonic Bragg cell
A. K. Stolyarov, N. G. Prokhorov, V. N. Shakhgedanov
Abstract:
It is shown theoretically that Bragg diffraction by two ultrasonic beams, traveling along mutually perpendicular directions in the same crystal, can be used for two-coordinate deflection of a light beam. A calculation concerning such a system was tested experimentally. The working medium was α-iodous acid which had a high acousto-optical Q factor.
