Abstract:
Narrowband and wideband microwave impedance matching, in specified frequency ranges, of a laser diode to the 50-Ω characteristic impedance of a microstrip line used as a microwave signal feed is investigated theoretically and experimentally. Distinctive features of the measurements of impedance characteristics are discussed. A topology has been developed for a calibration board for panoramic S-meters for microwave two-ports and also for boards for microwave matching in various subregions of the decimeter wavelength range. These boards are designed for use with an ILPN-216 laser diode without a ballast resistor.
